Why I love Lladro
Anyone collecting Lladro Porcelain
Figurines knows first hand just how beautiful these pieces are.
Because of the Lladro beauty, uniqueness and the qualities of Lladro, it's no wonder that the manufacturing ingredients are kept
under tight guard.
We can tell you however, that the Lladró figurines are made out of an
original blend of hard-paste porcelain or ceramic material that was originally made from a compound of the
feldspathic rock, petuntse and kaolin fired at very high temperature. The Lladro are then finely glazed
which gives it the unique, original look. Their fine glazing is part of their industry
secret.
If you will be collecting Lladro you will notice
that the authentic markings of a Lladro piece is the dark blue mark that has the shape of a tulip above the
company's name. The works of the 1960's simply have the name carved in the bottom of each piece. However today
there are several markings that you will see on the pieces that are legitimate Lladro markings.
One of the first things you'll notice of any Lladro piece is the fine
craftsmanship and the attention to detail and it's why I love Lladro as much as I do. The
Lladro porcelain collectibles are known for their delicate details in each unique creation, from
the superb facial features to the softly draped gowns and accessories, it's the details that make
these sculptures extremely extraordinary and appealing.
The Lladró porcelain figurines depict both humans
and animals and capture some of life's most memorable moments, for example the Lladro Christmas figurines are some of my favorites, for
me they add so much to the holiday moments and memories. The Lladro collections contain pieces that are
romantic, religious, mythological, international and portray fantasy. They
range in price from as little as $200 all the way up to $15,000 for the more
exquisite hand made pieces.
Each Lladro piece is created and sold for only a short time, so you can continue
to collect new pieces. These beautiful works of Lladro art will not
only keep their value they will increase in value over time, making them a wise investment
for any porcelain collector.
